History

This party was born on 6 May, 1990 A.D., in Kathmandu (Nepal) bearing a Name-Nepal Rastriya Janamukti Morcha. By this name, the party had participated in the general election for parliament in1991 A.D., with an electoral symbol – Man. Immediately after the election, on 20 january1992 A.D., this party enjoyed the unification with a party named National Jan Party, having new name as Rastriya Janamukti Party. This party has participated with the electoral symbol – House.

General Conventions of the Party First convention held in Kathmandu on 10-12 june, 1996 A.D. (Party President – M.S. (Malbar Singh) Thapa, General Secretary – Gore Bahadur Khapangi). The second in Butwal, Rupandehi on 22-24 November, 1999 A.D., (Party President – M.S. Thapa, General Secretary – Gore Bahadur Khapangi). The third in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur on 3-5 March, 2006 A.D., (Party President – M.S.Thapa, General Secretary- Bayan Singh Rai). The fourth in Kawaswoti, Nawalparasi, on 9-13 March, 2011 A.D., (Party President – M.S. Thapa, General Secretary – Keshav Suryavanshi). And the fifth convention held in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Lalitpur on 10-12 june, 2016 A.D., (Party President – KP (Khadga Prasad) Palungawa Limbu and General Secretary – Keshav Suryavanshi).
